Hi,

one of my customer wants to register to 2 different pricing plans on the same product but here is the error:

(412) code:CustomerCodeNotUnique: Another customer already exists with code=[email blocked]

How can I avoid this ?

I tried to create a new product but apparently I need to pay again ? If I need to pay 9$/mo for each product I'll cancel my account immediatly and ask for a refund.

Thanks for answering rapidely I need this to be sorted out fast.

Best Regards,

T.DUPRE

Hi Tanguy -- By default, the customer code used in the hosted pages is the customer's email address. We always recommend that you pass in your system's unique customer identifier when using the hosted pages to avoid the problem you've described. That way there is a direct relationship between customer records in your system and customer records in CG. That is documented here:

    http://support.cheddargetter.com/kb/hosted-payment-pages/hosted-pay...

I'd like to better understand your setup. Maybe I can recommend a different configuration in CheddarGetter. What is it that the customer is buying? Why does this customer want to be subscribed to two pricing plans simultaneously?

    Hi Marc,

    thanks for your answer.

can you please tell me a way so that every time a new customer subcribe to my product the unique customer identifier is not the email but something else. I don't want to change myself manually this code every time.

In fact I'm using CG to let members of a forum pay for Group Buys. So I don't need several products. I just need several pricing plans. But a user can of course be a member of 2 different Group Buys, see what I mean ?

Hope you'll help me as I need this issue to be solved quickly.

Best regards and thanks for taking the time to answer me !

This depends on how you present the link to the hosted pages "create" page. If you want to control the customer code, then present the link like this:

    https://tla.chargevault.com/create?code=my_customer_code

Then, for the "update" page, you would form the link like so:

    https://tla.chargevault.com/create?code=my_customer_code&key=ke...

This way, you're in control rather than relying on the default email address.

But if I do like you say :

    https://tla.chargevault.com/create?code=my_customer_code

I'll have to give a special URL to every customers I have ?

Or I say to my customers to write themselves the code like:

"Please when subscribing put this url in your browser: https://tla.chargevault.com/create?code=my_customer_code

and change the "my_customer_code" by your username."

    Can't I do it automatically ?

Also I'd like to delete a product how do I do that ?

    Many thanks.

Based on your responses, I'm assuming that your customers are not registered in your system before sending them to CheddarGetter. Is that correct? Can you describe your customer experience?

    No they're not.

Like I told you, I'm using CG to manage my customers that's all. Just to see who cancelled and who subscribed.

If my customers want to be part of a group buy i'm organizing I just send them an email telling: "Please subscribe to "Name of the GB" via this URL: https://gbsefi.chargevault.com/create"

This is by design to ensure that customers do not accidentally signup more than once. If you need customers to signup more than once, you need to provide an unique customer code for each signup. If your emails are generated automatically and sent to a list, your email service may provide some capability to generate a dynamic link for signing up. Then, you could generate a link something like this: https://gbsefi.chargevault.com/create?code=439857_email.example.com
