I'd like to know how to set up a payment with a "setup" fee as well as a monthly recurring fee.

   Hi Destiny -- You can do that in a couple of different ways.

   1. The easiest is to simply configure your pricing plans with a setup fee.
      
   2. A second option would be to specify a custom charge via the API when a customer signs up.
      
   3. A third option would be to add a custom charge to an existing customer.
      
   4. A fourth option would be to transact a one-time invoice on an existing customer

   You could use a web hook to trigger your app to do options (3) or (4) upon various events taking place.
