It would be really good to be able to automatically pass new signups into Mailchimp. Any plans to do this?

We do have plans to integrate with MailChimp, among other things.

Excellent. Don't suppose I could coax you to give us an idea of timescale ? ;-)

Sorry that was vague. Unfortunately our roadmap is a bit up in the air right now. We're likely going to be working on some referral/affiliate system integration in the short term. That's a fairly involved project so it's hard to see beyond that. We have a long list of services we want to integrate like MailChimp: CampaignMonitor, Highrise, Salesforce.com, etc.

If you'd like to evaluate from your perspective how you need a MailChimp integration to work, we'd certainly benefit by that info. Do you need custom fields (can we use customer metadata for this)? Does cancel === unsubscribe? Does reactivate === resubscribe? How can we leverage plan information (upgrade/downgrade) for your benefit? Etc....

Mailchimp would be great add on if you just pump all the CG email addresses directly into the Mailchimp campaign. This way we can then just use Mailchimp to send the newsletter and it will go automatically to all the CG subscribers.

At this moment , we are forced to do a CSV export and then put into correct format and manually update Mailchimp with the list of addresses.

Hi guys - I know it's been a while but we now have a platform built for this type of integration. We've already done CampaignMonitor and Campfire and we're ready to implement others as needed. Let me know if you're still looking for Mailchimp integration.

I was just about to enquire about Mailchimp

Mailchimp however require opt-in to add people into lists - so what would be good is to enable a checkbox on hosted payment pages to 'Subscribe to mailing list' (preferably a custom label)

When people add after registration we can just use Mailchimp's API.

Hi Steve -- Mailchimp's terms do not require an explicit opt-in when the subscriber gives you their name and email in connection with a purchase or negotiation to purchase. See section 11.b.B of their terms here: http://mailchimp.com/legal/terms/
