bill and these charges should be retained in the system as long as
the customer is a subscriber. To give you an example, we have a
SaaS application that our users subscribe to. These users pay an
extra $20/month if they want to process credit cards from within
the system. The issue is that this charge is also recurring but we
do not want to set up a separate plan for this. I would suggest
that when we add a charge to our customer's bills, it should have a
checkbox that would let us make this a recurring charge so we don't
have to add it every month to our customers' bill. Hope this makes
sense. Feel free to contact me if you have questions.

Farrukh Omartag:support.getcheddar.com,2009-06-01:Comment/79832702011-06-17T14:06:39Z2011-06-17T14:06:39ZAdding Charges to Recurring Payments

Hi Farrukh, recurring "add-ons" like you've described are
achieved with tracked items. Check out the first example
under the tracked items section of this article: <a href=

Does that take care of it?

Marc Guyertag:support.getcheddar.com,2009-06-01:Comment/79832702011-06-17T19:12:25Z2013-01-10T14:52:59ZAdding Charges to Recurring Payments

Mark,

Thanks for the prompt reply. I tried out the feature. It does
not seem like that solves our problem. From the looks of it we
would still have to go in and manually set the quantity of the
tracked item to 1 each month for CG to bill our customers
correctly. Just to make sure you understand, this is an optional
feature that our customers sign up for.

Any help you can offer is appreciated.

"overage" once or in an ongoing manner (every month, for example).
The "is periodic", or "monthly" checkbox in the tracked items
config on the pricing plan page is the option to change the
behavior. Uncheck this box to keep the customers' item quantities
from month to month for the "add-on" behavior. This can be a bit
confusing. Let me know if you have questions.

Marc Guyer
